Please can someone advice what are the documents to be provided at the Serbian Immigration for getting visa on arrival. Is there a chance of refusal ? how much money should i carry for a family of 3 for a trip of 4 days. Is there a mandatory amount to be carried if my hotel booking is confirmed?. Please can someone advice which are the must see tourist spots and which is the best way to travel to these spots . Any precautions to be taken?

	Здраво!

I am planning on going by bicycle from Sofia to Vlasina Lake and doing some camping. I saw that there is a camping ground next to the lake, but I usually prefer to do wild camping. Can you tell me if this is allowed in this area? I saw that it is a protected reserve, so I think it might be forbidden.

P.S. I'm very careful not to leave a mess behind and I take all trash with me.

Hi, pretty soon I am going to cross Serbia on foot and then continue to Bosnia, Croatia and more.

I would appreciate some information from you regarding some concerns I might have.

I will start the trip from the Bulgarian border aiming to follow the route Pirot-Nis-Krusevac-Kraljevo-Cacak-Sabac, trying to enter Bosnia from Bijeljina or Brcko (not sure about the checkpoints and border with Srpska ) . As my budget is very small, I will be travelling with a tent and sometimes might use cheap accommodation or couchsurfing if I find in some bigger towns. I have a lot of experience with walking long distances, but in that particular case I am just not sure what to expect, as the experience would be quite different. I mean what would be the best way to walk through Serbia in your opinion? Should I avoid the big main roads? Are there some alternative walking routes (or secondary roads) going east to west? What is the law in Serbia regarding pedestrians walking on roads ? How about finding campsites? And in general is it ok if I just put my tent on the country side making sure that I dont disturb anyone?

	Тhanking you in advance

	Kind regards,

Hi Everyone! I am looking for overland routes from Sofia to Belgrade in early October (say on the 3rd or 4th), but am stuck and need your kind advice Here's here I am in terms of research:

	Trains

	First I read this: https://www.seat61.com/international-trains/trains-from-Sofia.htm#Sofia_to_Belgrade

It says in October there are no more direct train services and the alternative is to change 3 trains.

However, after going to Serbian Railways website (http://www.srbvoz.rs/eng/timetable.html) to confirm this solution, the first news seem to suggest that services (or part of the service) been halted. I also am not able to find the timetable for the 3 trains.

	Buses

The Serbian side bus schedules on http://www.bas.rs/basweb_eng/RedVoznje.aspx?lng=en are only released up to 7 days in advance, and that makes me sort of nervous.

I have been advised to check out buses from the Bulgarian side. But using http://www.bgrazpisanie.com/en , I have found zero results!

Can anyone confirm the findings and suggest how I should work around this? I would resist taking the plane because options are much more pricey and I really intended to stick to land travel around the Balkans region.

	Thanks in advance!

	Dorcas

I will be coming to Serbia in April. I'm looking for the following -

1- Hiking option for 2-3 days with sleeping option within the trails - in mountain lodges / villages. That is, without the need to user a car for 2-3 days.

2- Recommended area where we can spend 2-3 days, sleep in authentic home stay at villages, and if there are hikes around - even better

	Zdravo!

My name is Josh and I'm going to be moving to Serbia in the new year and I'm trying to connect with other travellers, artists, social researchers or people who generally live life a little alternatively. I'm also interested if there are any community houses where people live and do interesting things together. If you're interested in these kinds of things or know of people/groups who are, I'd love to chat with you sometime soon!

	Great news!

For every travel that you realize using this link www.booking.com/?aid=1168489, Booking will donate to Foundation 7,5% of the value of travel, without additional costs for you.

All collected money will be directed to the projects that have been conducted by the Ana and Divac Foundation for 6 years. Over 200,000 young people until this moment have renewed playgrounds, sportsgrounds, classrooms, cleaned rivers, made concerts and performances in countries and towns all over Serbia.

Hi, I have bought a property in Croatia. It's a small property not bigger than 50 square meters. Our question is. If I want to rent it out to people on airbnb or other local tourists, what do I need to do to follow the legislations in Croatia.

I have heard that you need to register your property for the purpose of renting to tourists with a fee of 1400 kuna.

What more do I need to do? Do I need to pay 1 euro per day fee/per tourist to the tourist office even if the citizen is a member of European Union?

Also what is the tax percentage that I need to pay to the tax office in Croatia?

Maybe this isn't the right forum for these questions but if you have any clue where I can send my question I would really appreciate it.

Hi guys!

First of all, you don't know how much I was happy to discover a travel community that is mainly based in the Balkans!

Even if it's not all translate, I found so much information yet, and the travel house seemed really nice

So there I am: I'm making the classic year gap of travelling in between my studies, in arts and human sciences.

No long-term visa, no return ticket, almost no cash, but fully-convinced there's a way to make it, with creativity and good preparation!

There's so much beautiful people out there, so much great things to see, so I'll give it a try

Without long-term Schengen visa, I have to exile for a while, but that's just a way to keep moving on and travel!

I'm coming to Athens in a week, will stay there for a week by a nice CS host who seems full of ressources and I'll check what's the best option for what's coming up next.

I was thinking about making my choice only then, because I wanted to talk first to locals or people who knew better the Balkans; web posts are sometimes just not enough, too general. So I'm asking you where to start, what and where are the good plans for me!

I'm open and curious for any country not in the Schengen zone. I prefer to keep on moving and discovering, but I have plenty of time and can easily stay in a place in between 5 days to 3-4 weeks.

I really have to think about making some money for living. Volunteering and receiving shelter and food is totally nice, but I still want to go around and to enjoy life. There's also my basics fees, like credits for phone, insurances and payment of my student debt!

I love both wild country sides and cities, I want to explore beautiful landscapes, to visit cultural and historical sites, to enjoy local life, to discover nice people.

As you see, it's open, so your ideas/contacts are welcome, and also any advice, must-know about travelling in the Balkans, social facts, etc.

Thank you!

Camille-A

Hi,

I am planning to visit Serbia for about 15 days in June. The primary purpose is attending a conference in the University of Belgrade during 10-12 June. Want to stay for 2 more days in Belgrade and want to visit other touristic places in Serbia in the other 10 days.

Can you suggest a travel plan and places that could be covered? I love nature and would love to visit mountains like Zlatibor/ Mocra gora/ Tara; again I would loke to see cities like Novi sad, Sombor, Sremisky and Zrenjanin. The Golubac monastry and Iron gates also appear beautiful, as do Zajecar/ Sokobanja in the east or Vucje / Nis in South; again Vlajevo / Kragujevac in central- there are so many options avalable in Google search that I am puzzled.

Probably, I will make a 3-4 days trip in the North, keep 4-5 days for Belgrade, 1-2 days for Golubac and Iron gates and keep the other 3-4 days for south.

I would prefer cheap accommodation and public transport where ever possible (however, if a car can save time and allows visit to more places in a day, that can be tried if it permits the pocket- salaries in India are not upto European standards- so, you can imagine what I want to say).

Would need some suggestions and friends from Serbia.

Prithwiraj

He has the chip, pills for the worms and vaccine for disseases. But he is like 3 months old, so no rabies vaccine (and the certificate takes to long to do it before entering the EU).

And I only travel by bike.

I have a german passport, so no problems with visa.

I dont know what else I should consider, so please help me!

I started biking in France, so far around 4.500 km, best time of my life!

Thanks people! good vibes to all.

Joaquin

I'm working on an article (for an international audience) about nightlife in Belgrade: I'll be in Serbia in September but I'd like to get some idea before I go about what's hip and happening in your city. I'll be writing about the latest and greatest of splavovi, any "hidden clubs", cool bars, indie hotspots, festivals, etcetera. Any tips or suggestions would be *much* appreciated! Note: I'm Australian, but married to a bloke from Novi Sad: I lived in NS on-and-off for almost three years but am only somewhat familiar with BG. Thanks again!
