Posted February 8, 2011 Hi to everybody! I'm in need of your help. The question is, what is the best way of transportation from bus station to airport, and what is the distance in between? Is it too far to walk by foot, is it possible because of the airport out-of-city location? Taxi would be the simplest option, but I'm not too happy to give 20-30 euros to transport. Are there any public transportation lines driving to airport? Any help appreciated I originally posted this question in Serbian language, only afterwards I saw it is English only part of forum, so I rewrote it, don't wanna break any rules and bring anger on me anyway it will be useful info for any foreigners thanks in advance! Posted February 8, 2011 Well, then I will rewrite my answer in English as well, though we could have just moved this topic to appropriate board The cheapest and also reliable transport would be city bus number 72 which goes every 30 minutes from Zeleni venac station. Ticket cost approximately 1 eur if you buy it on a kiosk, but don't forget to get ticket valid for zones 1 and 2. Or you can just buy two tickets for zone 1, if they don't have such tickets at kiosk, it's the same. If you buy it in a bus, it will be 2 euros (100 or 200 dinars, payable only in dinars). It takes approximately 45 minutes to reach the airport by bus, and it's the last stop so you can't miss it. The first bus leaves around 04:40 am. Zeleni venac is about 3 minutes by foot from the main bus station. I suppose you will come to arrivals section, in which case, you should just continue walking in the same direction which the bus is facing when it stops. After ~50 meters when you reach bigger street, turn right, and ~50 meters ahead you should see parking lot across the street. Cross the street at the trafic light, towards the parking lot, and continue walking in the same direction. You will pass small park, and on your left side will be red building - Faculty of Economics. So, after ~50 meters more, you will see macadam road going uphill. Take that road and turn left as soon as macadam finishes and asphalt starts. At the end of that pavement is main city bus hub, where the bus towards airport departs. It will be accross the street, just where you hit the street when you reach it, check the numbers. Posted February 8, 2011 Thank you chivitli, rules need to be followed, so we'll continue in English I think I got everything right, few more things. 1) Is this correct? http://i52.tinypic.com/xmlqi0.jpg If i got the ending of macadam road right (Kamenicka?), where would be the end of asphalt street? Becaues I see it running for a long distance afterwards? Do I need to go more north, following the street I marked with bus station, going up, I see a small crossroad with I think Brankova ulica, and afterwards a big junction with 3 lanes road on each side. Also the station on which I have to be waiting, that drives to airport (I suppose there are two, one opposite others) is on the side of the road where I marked bus station, or opposite of it? Don't wanna go round in "dobra linija, krivi smijer" 2) Does the bus drive directly to airport facility down that long two lane street, with trees on both sides, and stops somewhere there, or it stops earlier, somewhere on the "main road"? Sorry fot bothering you so much, but I like to have everything planned! Reply

Posted February 8, 2011 Your map is not correct, but we can use it for further explanation. The start of macadam road is there where your map says "end of macadam road". It goes towards north-east. The first street on the left you see after it on the map is the street you should take then. You will see in the top right corner of your map many yellow buses. That is actually Zeleni venac bus station. You don't have to worry about direction, since it's the first stop, so you can't miss it. The bus stops regularly along the way, it's normal city bus Reply
Posted February 8, 2011 Aaa now I see it. Can't believe I missed such big hub station In your last sentence, you probably meant last stop, so I can't miss it. That McDonalds also looks tempting Thank you very much, I owe you one! Reply
Posted February 8, 2011 Well, it's both the first and the last, depending on the direction you are going to Reply
