Air Serbia inaugurated flights between Belgrade and Baku on Sunday, marking the first time the two capitals have been linked with a scheduled air service. It is the second of ten new routes to be introduced by the airline this year. The inaugural flight from Belgrade had roughly 125 passengers on board, or a load factor of 87%, while the return service from Baku was full.

Commenting on the new route, Air Serbia’s CEO, Jiri Marek, said, “By introducing a direct service between Belgrade and Baku, Air Serbia is not only expanding its network of destinations, but also establishing another key bridge in the strategic partnership between Serbia and Azerbaijan.
