Does anyone know exactly what the rules and requirements are for a Russian to get a visa into Serbia?? I've heard different things from different ambassadors/Serbians/Russians.? It's damn confusing.?

Some people say I need an invitation and a visa, some say I can get some kind of tourist vouchers without a visa, some say I don't need anything at all.

Let me know if you have any information.? Thanks so much in advance.

Or maybe is the easiest thing to go to embassy of Serbia and Montenegro in Moscow and ask around. The adress is Mosfiljmovskaja 46, right next to German embassy.

Thanks.  Does anyone know what "individual or group vouchers" are?  Is this for guided tourist groups?

some 10 days ago I had been visited by a friend from Russia. I sent her some invitation made by myself, and notarized in local authorities' offices here in my neighborhood. She also took some fictional tourist voucher in some tourist agency there in St.P.

At the airport in Belgrade, customs told her that it was legal to get in with invitation only, she didn't need voucher, BUT, after reading it, they started checking everything they could in their computer, about me, my background, etc etc. She told me that she felt a bit unsure about it, so she gave them voucher also, and customs just let her pass on these two documents.

yeah, she had an individual voucher.

btw, she just called Serbian consulate in Moscow only to check about details, never went there actually, nor had to send/receive anything from them.

Can't help you about that voucher costs, sorry.

    My friend from Russia entered only with a voucher, which wasn't even real (so-called "fake voucher"). You just have to show it at the border, that's all. They are sold by tourist agencies. (real voucher would mean that you really reserved a room in a hotel, and I believe that's not what you want)

    So, try to see if you can get this fake voucher somehow, and then let us know... if not, we'll move on to plan B

  I've just asked another friend. He made a booking through www.hostels.com and got the receipt by e-mail.

  The embassy, however, requires the receipt to be faxed, so he just printed it out, faxed it to himself, took it to the embassy and got his visa the same day (a real visa, in his passport). It all cost him around 20 $ and was done in a single day.

  Even if your booking is for let's say one week, you can still ask for a one-month visa, under excuse that you'll rebook later, or change a hotel, or just want to move around the country a bit.
