Hey  I live in Hungary and want to travel to Istanbul. I saw that there are trains going from Belgrade but I did not find any information how much that would cost for students and any timetable.  :oCould someone help me? :cryy: by telling own experience or just giving a link?  :-\ ;D

  Hi there,

There is a daily train to Istanbul, leaving Belgrade at 07:50 am. It is due to arrive the next day at 08.25 am.

As for the regular ticket, I have no idea, but if you are under 26 you should consider buying the Balkan Flexipass rail pass. It is definitely the cheapest way for the return trip, provided that you're planning to return within one month. The price in the above-mentioned age group is around 45 euros.

This ticket only gives you 2nd class seats, so a supplement is needed in case you prefer the sleeper. You'll also have to change trains on Bulgarian/Turkish border, but the ticket covers that as well.
