5 posts in this topic

Hi everybody. I am trying to find some way to get from Cluj-Napoca (Romania) to Novi Sad on Saturday, the 25th. I cannot find any trains in the Romanian train schedule. Not from Cluj, nore from Timisoara or Arad to Novi Sad. Any suggestions? Thank you! Imola

If you're traveling by train from Romania to Serbia, I believe you have to go via Belgrade. So you should check the train schedule for trains connecting Timisoara & Belgrade.

According to the Serbian Railways website, there is a daily train from Timisoara to Belgrade.

TIMISOARA         05:49

STAMORA MORAVITA 07:07

VRŠAC                 06:54

ALIBUNAR         07:29

VLADIMIROVAC 07:41

PANCEVO GLAVNA 08:13

BEOGRAD         08:51

Keep in mind that this is the very same train that goes from Bucharest to Belgrade, so you can probably hop in somewhere along the way.

Once in Belgrade, you can take one of the many daily trains to Novi Sad.

Or, you may take some train to Timisoara, and from there you may take a van which goes to Belgrade. That is much faster. From Belgrade to Novi Sad you have a lot of options by bus or train. You just have to book in advance the van from Timisoara to Belgrade, here is the contact and the price:

Have a nice trip!

Or, you may take some train to Timisoara, and from there you ...

...can "cut" the way through Zrenjanin (my home town) :)

Timisoara-Zrenjanin is around 60 kms (both towns are in Banat,by the way),and then Zrenjanin-Novi Sad is no problem (50 kms) - you have almost every hour some bus to Novi Sad.

...except that I'm a bit late with this answer :102:

I went from Cluj to Serbia this spring. Problem is that train from Cluj arrive to Timisoara 15 mins after train to Belgrade already left. I took train to Jimbolia ( vilage close to Serbian border) and then train to Kikinda. From Kikinda it`s really easy to reach Belgrade or Novi Sad by bus.
